A complete guide
The Island of the Gods — a single island holding a thousand worlds. Here's everything that makes it magic.
Bali is where ancient spirituality meets tropical paradise. Temples rise from the sea, offerings line every doorstep, and the land moves to the rhythm of ritual, nature and warmth.
Just south of the equator in Indonesia, Bali packs volcanoes, jungles, rice fields, world-class beaches and one of the richest living cultures on earth into an island you can cross in a few hours. It's soulful, affordable, endlessly beautiful — and unlike anywhere else.
Each corner of Bali has its own personality. On our trip we weave the best of them together into one week.

Bali is the only Hindu-majority island in Indonesia, and faith is woven into everyday life. Each morning, families place canang sari — tiny woven baskets of flowers and incense — as offerings of thanks. Temples sit on every hill and shoreline, and the calendar overflows with colourful ceremonies.
It's this gentle, grateful spirit — the Balinese call it Tri Hita Karana, harmony between people, nature and the divine — that makes the island feel so peaceful.
