Bali Packing List 2026: Exactly What to Bring (Free Checklist)

By Rashid · 6 May 2026 · 5 min read

Bali is warm, casual and easy — but a few items make a real difference, and a few are easy to forget. Here's a practical packing list for 2026, with notes for travellers coming from Pakistan.

Clothes

  • Light, breathable clothes (cotton/linen) — it's hot and humid
  • Temple-appropriate outfit — something that covers shoulders and knees (a scarf or sarong works)
  • Swimwear (pack two)
  • A light rain jacket or compact umbrella, especially Nov–March
  • Comfortable walking shoes + sandals
  • One slightly nicer outfit for beach clubs or dinners

Tech & documents

  • Passport (valid 6+ months) and a printed copy of your e-Visa
  • Your tourist-tax QR code (pay online before you fly)
  • Return/onward ticket and hotel bookings (entry checks may ask)
  • Power adapter — Bali uses Type C/F plugs at 230V, same as Pakistan, so most of your chargers work as-is
  • Power bank and a phone with an eSIM or local SIM for data
  • Travel insurance details

Health & toiletries

  • Reef-safe sunscreen (high SPF) and after-sun
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Any personal medication + a small first-aid kit
  • Motion-sickness tablets (handy for the Nusa Penida boat)

Money

  • Some cash in IDR for warungs, markets and small vendors
  • A debit/credit card; use authorised money changers, never street stalls
  • A scooter helmet is provided by rentals, but bring an International Driving Permit if you plan to ride

Don't over-pack

Laundry is cheap and everywhere in Bali, so you can pack lighter than you think.
