Bali's two seasons
- Dry season (April–October): sunny, warm, lower humidity. The best time for beaches, temples, waterfalls and Nusa Penida.
- Wet season (November–March): hot and humid with short, heavy afternoon showers. Greener landscapes, fewer tourists, and the cheapest prices.
The sweet spot: May, June & September
If you want great weather without the peak-season crowds and prices, aim for May, June or September. You get dry, sunny days, calmer beaches, and noticeably better rates on villas and tours than July–August.

- Jan–Mar: wet season, cheapest prices, lush and quiet. Pack a light rain jacket.
- April: dry season begins — lovely and still affordable.
- May–June: sweet spot. Perfect weather, moderate crowds.
- July–August: peak season. Best weather but the most crowded and most expensive.
- September: another sweet spot — warm, dry, quieter.
- October: great shoulder month, good value before the rains.
- Nov–Dec: wet returns; late December spikes again for Christmas/New Year.
